District Election Officer, Shri Amit Kashyap said that Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with respect to 1st January, 2019 as qualifying date was conducted from 1stSeptember to 31st October, 2018 to achieve the goal of getting pure and healthy electoral rolls-2019.  He was presiding over the meeting with district representatives of political parties  in connection with Booth Level Officers and Booth Level Agents meeting here today. Shri Amit Kashyap said that during Special Summary Revision of photo electoral rolls 24412 claims and objections have been received. 14442 claims and objections pertain to addition, 6,459 to deletion, 2584 of and 927 pertain to transposition of names.He said that as per directions of Election Commission of India meetings of Booth Level Officers and Booth Level Agents were conducted today to discuss outcome and to receive feedback about  house to house verification and other activities such as inputs on unrolled eligible citizens, prospective electors, duplicate and multiple entries etc.
Shri Amit Kashyap said that Booth Level Agents would be appointed for each polling station as per the direction of Election Commission of India for the coordination and smooth implementation of the election electoral roll related activities and for ensuring transparency and impartiality in conduct thereof.
He requested all the political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents for all polling stations in each assembly constituency keeping in view the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2019.
He said that final electoral rolls would be published on 4thJanuary, 2019.
During the meetings to be held on 17th Dec., 2018 at all Booths of BLOs BLAs all left out eligible voters can submit their claims in Form-6 for addition, Form-7 for deletion of dead/permanently shifted/Voters, Form-8 for correction of entry and form-8A for transposition of entry.
The voter lists of all Assembly Constituencies in respect of Distt. Shimla are also available at Election Departments’s Websitehttp://ceohimachal.nic.in and anyone can confirm his or her name by accessing the above link or at the NVSP Portal of Election  Commission of India.
